Enveloped in a warm blanket, I sit in the garden of the Rosalpina Dolomites. A day full of unique moments lies behind me. Happiness fills my heart. I listen to the soothing sounds of silence out here. Enjoying the peace. The beautiful countryside all around me is hidden in the deep darkness of the night.
No unnatural light disturbs the night here.
Only the silver shimmering moonlight. Countless stars beam down, delicately picking out the outline of the surrounding forests. I gaze heavenwards. My thoughts flow. Patiently, I wait. For a shooting star. Or two. And perceive so much more. Sensing. Hearing. The gentle rustling of the trees. The constant babbling of spring water. The beguiling scent of the fresh mountain air. Allowing me to breathe freely. A slight breeze. Caressing my skin. I am humbled by the silence. The star-studded night sky brings a smile to my lips. It is as if my eyes are discovering immeasurable treasures that enter my heart and my soul. Time passes me by. And then I see it. A shooting star. Or two. And I have but one wish. That this moment may never end.
